Found my first lathe line cent. Errorvariety.com lists a load for 1996. It was interesting to read archieved posts on this CCF forum from years ago about the cause. Definitely an exciting time for hunters then.
I almost thought they were mini zinc records with those grooves.;)

Have 1969 D penny with inner rings and faint date between 9 and 6 and the 6 in the date is also extended, can anyone help me please!!!

Caseyboy, you should create your own thread for your coins. Yours looks like damage after the strike to me.

CaseyBoy's coin was damaged by a wrapping machine. When the rolls are crimped, it does damage the outside edge coin.

Those are lathe lines on the 1996 cent.
