1974 D Nickel - Die Crack? - Coin Community Forum

mikediamond Pillar of the Community United States 2734 Posts	Posted 05/13/2008 10:33 am You've got a beautiful rim-to-rim die crack. Some might even call it a split die. There's an uncertain and subjective threshhold that separates the two. The die crack changes from a conventional die crack at the ends (where lateral spread has taken place) to a bi-level die crack in the center (where vertical displacement has taken place). I'd value it at $25 in its present condition. Nice find. Error coin writer and researcher. Report this Post to the Staff
