Just recently I've been saving all these 82 small dates.
Denver or Philly pennies. It's just because the 2. It's
just so more attractive than the large date.

However the fact that the mint issues like 17 billion
does not discourage me.

I've never seen a statistics sheet that showed me how
many small dates had been minted. I mean like I know
at some point they changed the dies to accommodate the
new zinc cents.

the small date coin is totally attractive. If I am lucky
I will get a proof 1982 at the next coin show.

does anyone else have this infatuation or is just me?
Rest in Peace

I grew out of it, you just might too. Give about 500,000 cents searched...then you begin to figure out is it worth it or not.

I had saved nice examples of the 7 issues and have been giving them out as gifts, prizes, bonus salescoins and here on CCF as LD/SD examples, just about out of all the nicer ones tho...

I never really thought about it but, I do like the small date style better than the large date. I don't keep any because of that though.
