I had this RPM for a long time and wanted to share it with everyone. There may be even more D markings under the contamination near the bottom of the date.

I don't believe this is a RPM. It looks like zinc rot. The copper plating split near the mintmark and the zinc began to erode.

Not a RPM. That is where the plating on the mint mark area was split through exposing the zinc to oxygen making it raise and start to break down.

It looks like that D took a hit and the zinc rot grew and grew.
