I want to ask your advice.

To raise money for cancer research, I have an idea to buy 25 to 30 new triangle milk coins and wait a year and then sell them on ebay as a donation auction and donate profit.

I feel that the prices will go up as it is first ever triangle coin made by RCM but on the other hand, I read on some places that people think coin is ugly.

Do you think this is a bad idea and how much should I expect to pay if I buy 25 of these from a dealer?

I found a dealer who offered to give me a discount and who can sell me a big qty of these.

Price at RCM site is $49.95 each. Should I expect to pay 30 something each with the big order?

This is a pic and description of the coin:

Also, don't most RCM products go down in value? At least that is the common trend...

I will not be buying coins from the RCM directly as I am not an authorized RCM dealer.

I will have to buy them from an authorized RCM dealer. He buys them from the RCM and sells them to me.

I know that it is a risk I am taking that value will go down with time but I have a feeling that this coin will at least not go down in value and hopefully go up.

I am mainly interested in knowing how much would be a fair price to pay for each coin, if I buy 20 or more in one shot from a dealer.

For example, if I ask for $38 each coin, will that be realistic or not.

Does anyone have any estimates of how much less dealers pay when they purchase products from the RCM?

Thanks

From what I understand dealer markup is around 18-20 percent. Investment wise RCM products are hit and miss.

I was at Desjardins Credit Union to pick up those Quebec twoonies I also saw they were offering a Natural Resource Guaranteed Investment. It has a 5 year term and the capital is guaranteed and it goes up according to the value of Crude oil, Natural Gas, Aluminium, Copper, Zinc, Nickel, Agriculture and Gold.
