...and here's an answer from down under, too.

First, let's be sure we're talking about the same coin. Canada issued two different "British Columbia 1971 dollars", one 32mm and made of nickel, the other 36mm and made of .500 fine silver. They have completely different designs.

The ASW for the silver one is 0.375 ounces.
