I mean, A. Saint-Gaudens originally designed not only the obverse but also the reverse for the Columbian Exposition award medal. But the reverse was rejected by the U.S. Senate Quadro-Centennial Committee, which assigned its design to Ch. Barber.

My latest acquisition for my set of medals from Utrecht is a medal commemorating the "Feestweek" (Festival week) in Utrecht, dated 1937.  Edited by NumisEd

Found this in a foreign lot today. Unfortunately we will never know the whole story behind it but apparently someone brought it back from World War I.  |

The Franklin Mint produced serially numbered hallmarked proof Medals for Jimmy Carter's 1977 Inaugural. Designed by Georgia native Julian H. Harris, Harris chose to show the new President in a contemplative mood, without his famous smile. "I wanted him thinking about something," the sculptor said. The decision was made to use Carter's familiar nickname Jimmy, rather the formal James Earl, on the medal. "Nobody knows him by anything else," Harris explained. The 70mm medal is smooth edged, with two stampings on the poles: "THE FRANKLIN MINT 6453" and " (c) 1977 INAUGURAL COMMITTEE SOLID BRONZE" and three hallmarks.
