1920 Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Association Founders Medal Medallic Art Co. Although dated 1920, this looped medal might be a 1931 Roosevelt Memorial Association Founders Medal - Medallic Art Co 1931-020, a smaller and very similar version of the 1923 Roosevelt (Theodore) Association Medal of Honor - Medallic Art Co 1923-002 which was 3 and 1/4 inches and gold. I have also found information that this one I have was used in 1925. I will go with Fraser's date of 1920 for inventory puroses. Theodore Roosevelt Date: 1920 Bronze Diameter: 1 5/16 in. ( 3.4 cm ) J.E. FRASER 1920 Obverse showing clothed bust of Theodore Roosevelt facing right with dates at lower right of field: "MDCCCLVIII/MCMXIX" Reverse depicts flaming sword at center with surrounding legend ROOSEVELT MEMORIAL ASSOCIATION/FOUNDERS MEDAL "IF I MVST CHOOSE BETWEEN RIGHTEOVSNESS AND PEACE I CHOOSE RIGHTEOVSNESS." This medal was one of a number of award medals created for the Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Association. It was used as an award for an essay contest in New York City Schools. The image of Roosevelt on the obverse of this example is based on a portrait bust modeled 1909-1910.

My wife's friend took this picture of the Sagrada Familia last week. I couldn't believe that it hadn't been manipulated but he says it was just a lucky shot.  |

OLD NORTH CHURCH SILVER MEDALS No 3, 4 and 5   For now, this image will have to do. I'll follow up with a group picture soon. The same seller I bought 2 of these had three more for sale so I bought them all. I imagine that could be the last of them since there was 3 listed as quantity available. I have no certain idea of the total mintage but this source is the only place I have found them or ever seen them in the past. In the first post about these we determined there might have been 100 minted and that they came in sets with a gold version in a box. Of course there might have been more silver minted but there were only 100 sets. If there are only 100, I have 5% of the mintage. LOL Still don't know who "BT" is or what those initials stand for on the medals. 2 jetons from St Michel Monastery I believe, I found from My fathers handed down collection one is 2003 other is unknown both backs are identicals both weigth 0.5oz   Edited by TxSnipper

Not really a recent acquisition, but a recent (today) NGC graded specimen (purchased raw, then submitted). A HK-721 Hawaii SC$1 in MS64 PL (with authentic ephemera for a possible exhibit). It's also a top pop. This SC$1 is from 1914 (104 years old).     |

Seems I cannot pass on an available .999 Trade dollar. I had one of these already but this one came in original packaging. 1974 Kitchener Waterloo Oktoberfest Dollar.     |
