thisistheshow, there is a collector niche for casino "strikes", yes absolutely.
I don't know a lot about it but certainly some are better than others.

1933 Wolfville Western Days Bronze One Bit Token



This One Bit Token ( a so-called dollar type token ) has been on ebay for well over a year it seems.
I tried to get it for less many months ago and was denied. Today I tried again and got a better deal.
I find it interesting for several reasons. First of all, I already have the related So-Called Dollar - Hibler and Kappen 1933 AZ HK-689.

Also, it is in equal condition and it is the only one I have ever seen in the past year.
I cannot find another anywhere.

There are always a few of the so called dollars available but this little one bit token might be the only one we'll ever see for a long time.


From what I gather, there was a celebration in Tucson Arizona commemorating the old Western Days in 1933.
There was a rodeo and a jamboree and apparently some gambling with these so-called dollars.

I'm still not sure but I think that the town of Wolfville is actually a fictitious place from the books by Alfred Henry Lewis (1855-1914) He published a trio of books.
