Note the top of the 'C' on the first image. Not how it is thinner because of the MD on it. That is device reduction by the machine after the strike. Not a DDR. The difference? The machine caused the doubling thus MD. If the die is doubled, then it is a doubled die. Machine Doubling can also affect a doubled die. So your coin is form a normal die with MD on it.
