Today gas here in cinn. Ohio just hit the all time high $4.00 a gallon. Experts say $5.00 by mid summer. I was just wondering if this will effect your coin buying? We are cutting our spending on several things. I will still have my $25.00 a week coin budget. Until gas hits $5.00. Now I have to figure out what sets to complete without breaking the budget. Instead of the remaining 15 silver Quarters .I may have to Have to finish Sue B & the Sac Dollar's||(Sucks)

It effects so many things. Wish there was cap on the price of gas :(

I've already cut spending alot. Its summer, just bought a new bassboat and there is way to much fishing to be had. Once winter rolls around again, back to the good ol coins. Even though, it wont stop me from buying here and there :)

Gas is $3.69 per gallon here. Fortunately my job reimburses 50 cents per mile for all work-related travel. This means that my coin budget is safe for now.

$3.50 in Shreveport, Louisianna.

Yeah, my budget for everything is hurting. Especially when my main driver is a truck that gets 15 mpg. Ugh.

Instead of driving my car to the coin shop, I'll opt to walk.

In North Carolina regular gas just went up to $3.75. It affects my coin buying. I am predicting $4 by Memorial Day.

We have not seen anything, yet. China is striking deals with the likes of Iran and Venezuela and locking up their production. Why do yo think it does not bother Chavez to thumb his nose at the biggest petro customer in the world.

There was an interesting article put out recently about the health of the Ahwar (sp?) oilfield in Saudi. It was opened in 1951, is 175 miles long and 25 mile wide, produces 7% of the worlds oil and 60% of Saudi's production. Aramco (the nationalized Saudi oil company) is very private about the condition of their oilfields and reserves. They have, however, added between 2000,3000 new wells in in Ahwar in 4 years. Also, imagery from space shows ground swell in the oilfield. Typically, oilfields show either dropping from large loss of supporting structure (oil) or swelling which is believed to be caused by the injection of water (steam). Steam is injected when fields become old and production wanes. The crude at the bottom of a supply is heavier (thick) an to get it to release, they inject heat in the form of steam to increase the flow. These signs would indicate that these fields are on the decline, but who knows.

There is also speculation that the world has seen the peak in total annual production and that supplies will diminish fro this point forward. This does not take into consideration the discovery of large new supplies.

Gas prices will fly by $5.00 in the next few yrs. Yet, we need to make sure that all those creatures in the Alaskan National Wildlife Refuge are safe. Heck, there are very few animals there. It is always frozen. Awwwww I give-up. Best of luck to you in budgeting for $10.00 gas. They are already paying that and more in Europe.
