Thanks for any feedback. My minister grandfather willed some coins to me that had been encased in lucite. You can see some residual on one or two of them. I have zero idea if any of these are real/fake, reproductions or valuable. Tahnks for any info. I have more but "only" posted pics of 4....

The two coins that are supposed to be ancient are not real.

lucite was terrible condition. Could barely see coins. I'm male and love destruction.

They are copies of biblically significant coins. The first and third coins are copies of Judaean "widow's mites" from about the lifetime of Jesus. Second is a "tribute penny", a denarius of Tiberius. Fourth is a copy of a coin of King Herod.

It probably would have been impossible to tell whether they were genuine or not while encased in a slab of plastic.

Sap, Interestingly, my grandfather also had 14 bible pages
with the coins. That was partly why I thought there was an outside chance they were real. He was an SDA minister in CA 1920-40.
