Question: what size are the letters, normal size or chopped down a bit? When you look at the base of the device by the field, try to "imagine" the outline of a normal letter. If the "outline" is that of a normal device, then it will be MD. Hub doubling will increase the overall size of the devices, at times with other very obvious signs of notching or separate images, but will ALWAYS be larger than a normal device.

Look like the fields were evenly thinned. The devices look slight smaller because of this. There is also some Machine Doubling on the coin.
