Nice cobs, mrwiskers! I saw quite a few at the coin show today. Unfortunately I have no idea of their values so stayed away from them.

...Thanks, Hondo ... cobs do require a little more study ...I've been collecting since 1998, & am still just above a novice level ... nice to see them show up at a show, but unless the dealer is knowledgeable & honest, best to be wary ... ...here's a little Philip V Lima 1/2r with just a date, mint mark, a lion & castle visible, but it's just over full weight ... Argentina, to Peru ...  |

Peru to Brazil - 1000 Reis 1925. A bit wore out but I liked the design and couldn't pass it up for less than a dollar.  Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures

That is a nice design, 2nd year issue coin Hondo ... South America in general has some really great coin designs ... ...back to the colonial mint of Potosi, under Spain's Chas II, where overweight cobs are scarce ... this one's almost 20% over .. Brazil to Bolivia ...  Edited by mrwiskers
