From Italy we go to San Marino, and may have to break the rules to get back as San Marino is surrounded by Italy on all sides.   100 Lire - Torre Tre and La Famaglia 1976 (The three towers of San Marino and the year of Family). I have seen two of the towers. Like Italy, San Marinese and Vaticano coinage used Italian currency types. Edited by Princetane

Sorry, but I can't get us out of Macedonia.  I have no coins from Serbia, Bulgaria or Albania. Technically, I could put an Euro coin here (Kosovo uses the Euro). However, I am not doing that. |

I can - we go back to 1860 when the part of Macedonia was part of Ottoman Turkey. This Turkish coin would have passed for use until the Treaty of San Stefano in 1878.   Turkey 20 Piastres (Kurus) - 1862 (Year 2 Abdul Aziz - 1278AH) You can go in any direction with this piece - good old Ottomans  Edited by Princetane

Can't get enough of Italy as I can use this chance to take us into the Vatican city and the only way in and out is through Roma.   Vatican city 1958 - 100 Lire with Year 20 of the papacy of Pope Pius the XIIth (John Paul II was not the only long serving pope of the modern era) Arrivederci Italia! Ciao Bella Italia!
