As far as I know, Cilician Armenia was practically only located inside Turkey (with some small parts in Syria). If I recall correctly, that area was created by refugees fleeing Armenia, and Sis was its capital city (which was also in Turkey, as seen here). So, although Armenia is in its name, it was not really in Armenia.  |
