I purchased a couple of huge lots of foreign currency this month, and the identity of this note has eluded me. It appears have been printed using the plates for the 1916 Japanese Convertible Silver 1 Yen issue (P. 30), but it has no block or serial numbers and the legends are all struck through with red bars. I checked the Korean sections of the Krause guides to no avail as well and its not in the Specialized issues guide. Is this perhaps a specimen that escaped into circulation or something? Any assistance in identifying it will be most welcome.
Regards,
XoG
