I'm new to this. I have a bunch of ancient jewish coins from the time of Jesus..I would love help figuring out what coins I have

Well, it seems to be a Hendin 1351, an AE prutah stuck under Nero's reign by the Judaean governor Porcius Festus between 59 - 62 AD.

But the image is throwing me off. Could just be a trick of the image - an optical illusion. Are the letters and the palm branch raised (as they should be) or are they sunken?

You beat me to it Bob, you are correct it is H-1351. It took me a while to make out what the pattern was also.
