About 6 months ago, I recall a group of CCF members getting coins together for submittal for grading.

Is there any plans to do this again? I have about 10 coins I am dying to get "body-bagged"!

If memory serves, I think SuperDave was the instigator! Wouldn't mind playing this time around.

Nelrak,

I just returned from the P.O. where I sent 12 coins to PCGS for grading.
Most people on the forum are anti-slab, so never advertised for other submitters.

If all you want are coins to be body bagged, send them to me and I'll body bag them for you a lot cheaper than PCGS would charge you..

I hear ya! I was reflecting on the past submittal and recall several that we all though were going to be great coins to have graded received the "DOA" . Maybe next time you are in town I can let you "body-bag" them so I can save on postage as well!

For what it's worth I've got 2 that I'd like to have graded the primary reason being toning... Doesn't that mean I should send them off to ANACS?

Just last week I sent 2 coins to Sean as he was going to submit to PCGS. I might have a couple more that I would like to submit to ANACS. Does anyone know whether they require yearly membership?

shatsi,
ANACS has no membership requirement and you can download a submit form from there home page.

If I'm not mistaken, joint submissions are frowned upon by the companies that charge membership fees for the privilege. I guess it would be deemed as "illegal" to them, but I honestly don't know the punishment. Yes, we did do this in the past thanks to some great members. I think for the services that require a paid membership to submit, the best thing to do is to take care of all details via PM's to protect the members and the forum.

How would they find out? Wouldn't it look to them like a member was making a large submission?

That depends on how much time we spend talking about it in public. This place isn't exactly hidden from sight.

I believe they couldn't care less, and if they do, is for other reasons, not the membership... anyways they give you more then you money worth in free submission for the membership. (unless I missed something here)
