Hello I am new to coin collecting. I found in my change a 1959 Lincoln Penny that has a impression of part of in god we trust. Just above Lincoln's ear and it is backwards. I don't no anything on figuring it out or getting a good picture.

Crazyb. great diagram
This should go down as a model for all altered coins that have been
hammered, pressed, or squeezed.
Is there a specific definition besides, PMD.
Interesting to see if CCF members can help define.
lanatann, please try to post a picture.

Crazy is right, it has been damaged by another coin pressing against it.

Finally got photo not greatest.
The only way I saw what it was,
Is using a magnifying glass a friend had. No way it was hammered to small. All So this coin is not centered and the 1 in date is sitting higher. If anyone can help me to figure out where I go to find out if it is error I would appreciate will try to put another photo up

That's what I see too.

I don't see any extra digits anywhere.
