I have my doubts:
How about a struck through from another nickel or nickel planchet that failed to be ejected from the press? The rest of the design appears to be properly centered.
There is no design on the brokage part.
Maybe what Mike Diamond is saying is right, but the way it is explained is somewhat confusing.
I feel sure that there is no historic record that Jefferson ever had his brain examined.
