Mine is when I start hearing "where is my purchase" when it has been less than 3 days since they paid. I can not tell you how many times I have had a customer buy late on Friday night and has messaged me about shipping on Monday. And, without fail they ask for a refund, they day they receive it. I think they ask becasue they have "buyers remorse" and are hoping to catch me before I ship. How about you?

I tried to avoid customer who's ebay account has been created that very day. While it is always possible that someone created an ebay account in order to buy one of my wonderful items, it is more likely that it is a stolen PayPal account and I will have to deal with that when the shtf.

I actually had something happen today that made me uncomfortable. A buyer made an offer on one of my listings with no additional notes or anything. After a short deliberation, I accepted the offer. About 15 minutes later, they send me a message and say their PayPal account was compromised and it will take a couple days to sort out before they can pay. You could have messaged me before you made an offer! To be fair, maybe they only found out when they went to pay. It will probably turn out okay but, still, it makes me wary.

It's a numbers game. You run into a crazy person every once in a while, no way to avoid it. I just hope it doesn't hurt too bad when it happens. I think most ebay sellers can relate.

Lowball OBO's who will argue with my counteroffers. They get shut down real quick, don't need that headache. Main reason I offer few OBO's, just price it right to begin with. Does seem like ebay likes to screw with me tho, on slow selling items the auto relist ALWAYS puts an OBO on offers that hadn't previously had one, sometimes play heck gettingbthat off too. Have had to completely remake one listing to get it off!

Weird questions while the lot is up. Usually asked on the last day of the auction (which is all I do).
Immediately block them.
Earlier this year had a question about the "true color" of a bright white mint state Peace, NGC 64. I offered the answer that there was no toning. Then he asked where the toning was. Blocked him.
Two hours later I get the same question from a different, name just opened that day.

Your scenario is one of the reasons why I have "ALL SALES FINAL" in my terms and conditions on all of my ebay items for sale. And it's been a good deterrent. Unfortunately, with the way ebay is currently skewed towards buyers, putting this on your listings is almost a necessity IMHO.

I had someone give me a neutral because the Ultra Modern MS 69 he bought wasn't perfect.
I've found that buyers who nickel and dime everything (especially inexpensive items) have the greatest likely hood of being a problem. If they act like they're doing you a favor or owed something at a certain price it's automatic block time

Be wary of buyers who need items shipped express, especially for low valued items... I have seen several times where that leads to chargebacks, with a person claiming they did not authorize transaction...
One of the more ridiculous instances was a buyer who purchased a bulk lot of PCGS blue boxes from me filed A SNAD (Significantly Not As Described) case, saying 'Boxes not ergonomically designed'
