Hello Everyone.
I need some help trying to identify 2 coins I got yesterday. Penny coins from that era look so similar I cannot distinguish exactly the Monarch and year.
All I know those are silver hammered United Kingdom penny coins...

Working out classification and fully attributing these will require better photos. Try doing one coin per photo. Sometimes the differentiation between classes can be the smallest of changes so photos are important. I'll dig the books out later.

Without getting my books out they are both Canterbury mint.As they are both well worn the classes are difficult,both appear to be Ed 1.
May I suggest you purchase the following book to give you a fighting chance.
