Appears to be a gaming token, arcade type, but unknown where. Looks to be brass, no ledgible makers marks? Interesting it has two contrasting nationalality icons on it, an international facility perhaps?

Anthon, it just may be a gameboard piece, as checkers, with two sides one being a king? Have seen things like this in children's games with money pieces, like gold.

In the collecting realm it is a "fantasy coin".

Yes, it is possible! I had found it on a table in a cellar of an old house that was about to be renovated. Unfortunately I do not know the story.
