*** Edited by Staff to Add Year / Mintmark / Denomination to Title. Titles are Important! ***

First, thanks in advance for your time and. Second, I have reading a lot of posts, and downloads that have helped me immensely in learning about coins
So, this one, has been sitting around something I found but didn't think it was any cool...see lots to learn. Then I've been practicing using olive oil to clean old Wheaties. So, it is clean, but when drying, that's when I noticed the error. Got my loupe, in-between 9 and 5 it looks like half an s. I looked up date mintmark, and o my, never knew so many varieties.

first two are inside under light, next outside. These the middle mark can't be seen. Yes photos are another thing I'm practicing and reading about. Any ideas? I'm thinking of selling some of my other coins, but wouldn't even know what variety to call this. Any other pics you need, let me know.
Thanks!

to CCF. First off, stop cleaning your coins. A cleaned coin will lose at least half of it collector value. Now to your coin,it looks like a die chip to me.

Thanks John, oh yeah, the cleaning was just an experiment for myself. I have fallen for the " Uncirculated" scam and get the coin (silver) and can tell it was blasted, and definitely chemically cleaned, and circulated. The Wheaties I've found we're junk in my opinion and I was just keeping them for myself. I actually love the toning on silver! And if I start selling some of my collection on ebay I definitely want to be honest. Thanks for your thoughts on coin. I need better camera too!! I found actually black and white helps bring out things too. Buying off a "stock" photo bugs me. If I sell I want buyer to know exactly what they're getting.
Thanks again! I may add a black and white shot, shows the mark better, in my opinion.
