Not a strike thru, is damage that has pushed the metal out the reverse of the indent, sorry, no big winner. It is a DDO, kinda beat to ****, but one nonetheless. It loses much with the damage, may be $5 now in the real world. (Non-Ebay)

If it were just a dent, I would think that the reverse would be pushed out leaving the die impression on the back intacked. It does not look this way to me. Also Wexler's list the 1917 DDO at $225 in G4, so there is still some value even with a dent.
Rest in Peace

In the real world, not according to figures on a website which are based on know pops per grade. I wouldn,t grade yours a G4 either, AG2, Details, Damaged at best. Any coin is only worth a value realized. You may find a gullible buyer on the bay, many do...I wont be that buyer

17 lbs of Wheat penny's from craigslist, paid $70 worked out to 3 cents each. Found DDO's, RPM's, BIE errors, some BU coins, coin from ever year except 1922. It has been fun! Need more.....
