What appears like "D" and "P" everywhere, is this caused by bubbling? Thanks in advanced!

Somebody sneezed when that blank was plated...human body fluids are the very best aggitant of the zinc corrosive process!

Actually the plating was pierced and oxygen is reaching the zinc underneath. Thus the developing pot holes.
