I found this 2000 D dime .looks like copper maybe. Has a greenish tent around rim. I just started collecting coins and really still on the not sure side, any comments would be appreciated. Merry Christmas everyone

Just discolored, stained. See what looks like dirt, or gunk. This may have been buried or even painted, pix need to be better to tell, just a damaged coin.

@nikki22, first welcome to CCF. Second, I agree with @crazyb0 that the color on your dime comes from environmental or chemical exposure and is therefore only worth face value. It is safe to spend this one!
