I remember back in the 70s and 80s during National Coin Week:
https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct...FXsxetK5Y1kT, we used to dip into our jars of extra wheat pennies,
Buffalo nickels, old Jeffersons or silver based coinage, and release them into the public. Hopefully so kids (young Numismatists) could collect them.
But now, store managers are savvy and skim the collectible stuff off the top.
I suggest you drop the collectible stuff in the tip jars. Try to include enough for everybody.
Also support, or try to set up collectors clubs, that can include kids. I didn't have a club back in the 60s in my area, but we had magazines, and exchanged letters with each other.
Lend books from your own library to folks in your area.
