Not quite sure on this penny, is it a strike through or partial clip, reverse is normal. What do you think?

Strike-though error. If it was an incomplete clip, then both sides would have matching arcs...

Not a partial clip.
The curvature of the strike through is sharper than the curvature of the edge of the coin.

The center of the strike through line can be found by drawing two chords then perpendicularly bisecting them. The intersection of the perpendicular bisectors will give you the center of the strike through curve.

Basic high school geometry. I learned this when I was 14.
Math at this level compulsory for all kids, at the high school I attended.

Measure the radius the curve from the intersection point and compare with the radius of the coin. Radius of the cent is 9.55mm.

The strike through curve is much sharper, which proves it cannot be be a partial clip.

There is an easier way to prove it, but I will leave that to others to figure it out.

Long ago I was pretty good at math in high school, but I simply held another 2005 against the curve and it was close. Because it didn't impact the rim I was leaning towards strike through. I also knew I had all the knowledge of the collectors on CCF to rely on.
Rest in Peace

You just can't argue when Sel brings out the math.
