Is this Machine Doubling on reverse? Also noticed a star shape to the right of "e" of "one" probably just a scratch but my main question is, is this Machine Doubling?

Note the distortion on the left rim area? Looks like the coin was damaged. Too bad as the coin appears some what fresh to circulation. Value drops quickly after damage happens. The die was pretty old when this coin was struck. Note the field distortion on the SE below the USA area. Wonder if the color is natural? Almost looks like a woody.
