So I have found this brass colored coin after going through a old accumulation of pennies. It is shinny uncirculated and yellow color. Coin on right. Is this from the plating process? Any value?

In 1985, the mint technicians still couldn't figure out how to mix a good drink...only time was the tea totalling pure copper days of the 1800's...

"Brass" is just one step up from the "bronze" alloy as used in the plating process, more zinc/tin. Also storage/toning may affect color. This is seen on the early years of stinkin zinkins most often.

At least you noticed the difference and knew where to ask about it.

John, You said of little value but the ones Ken is offering are nothing to sneeze at. this one would easily grade very high.

The ones Ken are selling are slabbed. It is very hard to know the ones found CRHing are lagit or just toning. If you find one in an OWBR then you know you have a legit one.
