1947 Nickel Error - Need Proper Description

toyzz New Member United States 35 Posts	Posted 12/20/2017 5:57 pm Hello Everyone. I hope all is well. My son and I found this 1947 nickel while roll hunting. We were wondering what type of error this is and the proper name/description for it. There is a crack that runs beneath the "C" on the reverse as well (may be harder to see in the pic). Crazyb0 Rest in Peace 10197 Posts	Posted 12/20/2017 6:04 pm to the forum! These areas? They do seem to be a crack, which is a form of a Lamination error, an incomplete mixing of the alloy metal. This may be a stress crack as well, but they do appear along laminations. I'm not sure by the small pix if this yellow is a Lam or not, looks like it tho, but need a much clearer, close-up.
