still lookin Pillar of the Community 967 Posts	Posted 12/20/2017 11:16 am The die pair that struck this coin likely suffered a die clash. The mint personnel polished the die to remove the clash marks. Looks like they got carried away with the polishing or maybe it was just a deep clash. They removed the details in doing so.
