Hello everyone. Pretty new to coin collecting. Actually I inherited a small coin collection from my grandfather who passed away a couple of years ago. I pulled them out about a year ago and haven't been able to put them down. Between searching bank rolls, watching video after video and reading forms I am still not really sure about any of it. It's a lot of information. This coin caught my eye my camera on my phone isn't the greatest but it's the best I could do. This 1963 penny looks like DD Date and in LIB in liberty. What do you guys think?

Welcome to the forum!

DDD, Die Deterioration Doubling is what that is called. Not a true Hub doubled Die event. Might I suggest you try to learn about how Doubled dies happen. It is all about the "when", MD/DDD, is a product of the striking of the coin or just a machining damage. Doubled dies are made, in the process of combining the designs it becomes "hub doubled". If you want something simple, read these below. Made 'em to be real easy reading.
