1936 Lincoln Possible Doubled Die Obverse / DDO ? Type 2 Maybe?

Ndn78 New Member United States 25 Posts	Posted 12/21/2017 2:40 pm I'm new here and to collecting..so hello to everyone and merry Christmas...found this in a bank roll..rebook lists it as a DDO...maybe type 2? Machine Doubling always shows reduced devices, nevers enlarges the devices. On real Doubled Dies, they show enlarged devices, extra thickness, notching, and separation lines. Incuse devices: Doubled dies: reduced in size Incuse devices: Machine Doubling: Enlarged devices Just the opposite happens on MD on incuse devices. The reason it's opposite is because the incuse devices on a die are raised. Thus the slightest die movement before or after the strike alters these sunken devices.
