I recently picked up 128$ worth of nickel dollars and 50 cent pieces from a local bank, there wasn't any silver but I was able to find a few of these 1982 SB 50 cent.   |

Thanks, most of the coins were in good condition, probably because they don't circulate a whole lot. There were 31 1982 halves and 11 turned out to be the small bead variety.

I know you are here on the west coast Denny7000. we have talked at a local coin show before. it seems that the bulk of the SB 1982 50 cents ended up here in BC. I have also found a couple here over the years from random bank buys. a few dealers locally have mentioned this as well. nice to find 11 though!

Thanks robmck1967, at first I was a little disappointed as the teller said there was a bunch of silver old coins, he was twenty something of course lol.

It gets better , it took three tellers and the bank manager before these coins would be accepted at my dump bank, they had never seen any before. Here is another of the 1982 SB with the "RE" missing from "AD MARE"  |
