Hi!

The photos shown appear to have a worn die crack over the years on the eagle's left wing next to its body. Can the experts review and provide comments? Is this worth keeping or have graded?

Thanks!

What you may have is a Die clash or it is PIDT, not sure which.

More of the opinion of a die clash than a die break/crack. The indention in the wing area is throwing me off. If PIDT is just the sign of a very Late Die State>

As for any real value, not much and certainly not to "send in"...Remember Moxking's rule, coin needs to be worth at least $200 to get it certified, otherwise just wasting your money. This is a $2 coin, as a normal production failure not a die/strike mint related error, these have no intrinsic value. Is a neat example, keep it if you like it.

Probably wrong again, But to me this anomaly looks raised to high to be a die crack. It doesn't look like a clash line would fit since it goes almost to the rim. I would say a die scratch/gouge. Either way not worth much unless there is a prominent coin with the same.
