Note on your coin you can see both sides of the devices affected. Looks more like Die Deterioration and Machine Doubling. The areas showing movement towards the closest rim, is the Die Deterioration. The areas showing reduction are the MD areas. Some overlap each other. Not hub doubling. Die aging and strike alterations on the devices.

How do the piano keys look? I recall that there was at least one DC quarter DDR, and it was most evident on the keys.

First wanna say thanks to those who replied...and yes I do see what you see..I kinda thought the deteriorating die too...but I was hopeful to say the least...does this kind of thing carry any value , even minimal?

Yes it is on both sides of the coin.not as bad tho on the back...does that make difference

Them the dies are the same age. Not an error or a variety. Just very heavy die wear.
