@tg88, doesn't look like plating to me as it is so thick in some places. Rather, my money is on Pb-Sn solder or perhaps mercury. Either way this lab experiment has no value beyond face value.

Ahh, so that's where it went!



Was trying out my new pencil type torch/soldering iron on a few coins because I didn't have any chunks of copper piping to use to see how it made the solder flow. Those just may be some of the ones...really....circa 1989, SE Missouri area.
