I've had for some time this pair of WWII commemorative Lincoln Cents that I have wondered about. Never really made sense to me. Couple of things I have noticed is that Abe appears abnormal. Meaning something just isn't right with his hair and ear, the font for the date is odd, I think the list could go on and on. They measure 20 mm in diameter and are considerably thicker than normal. As you see, they are dated 1943 yet have the Lincoln Memorial back. Any input on these two would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

@CMJ, those are not real cents--pretty sure that they from Merrick Mint.

In remembrance of WW2, obviously. Nothing made at any US mint.

Those aren't made by the US mint. They are 3rd party mint tokens.

...also it's not silver plated, it's Ruthenium, whatever the heck that is.
