New Robinson Auction Posted

I always enjoy his humor. One Parthian is described thus: "...quite sharply struck, good bright silver with lt tone. So what more do you want? A cherry on top?"

The same frustration some have expressed with Frank's (and other's) selling of advertised fakes will continue. I have not yet perused the whole auction, but I did see the 10 fake Republican denarii of lot 496, with the description, "photos looked OK on ebay but they are cast fakes" While expressed in past tense, that description could also be a portent of the future for these casts. A cynic might suggest that the description is there to plant an idea in a potential buyer's head.

Still, despite the frustration with a listing like that, I always look forward to his auctions. Heading there now to poke around.
