I know where this coin is for sale so I'll just say I agree with the grade from PCGS and looks very original to me. I got a Seated Half a few months ago from this seller that showed nice rich toning and was disappointed when I got it because it didn't match the photo...at all. Definitely some enhancing done to the pics he posted on the coin I purchased. This one though looks like it goes well with your screen name.

Original, and I'd say EF-45. A bit too dark for me.

Dark original -- suits your screen name well. XF40-XF45, I lean towards 45.

Technical Grade EF-40, possibly 45.
Usually circulation cameo, like this coins has, is a benefit. But I'm afraid the background is so terribly dark, touching toward black, that the contrast is not enough to make this coin look WONDERFUL.
There is nothing wrong with this coin - it has an even strike, untouched fields, minimum of marks, etc.
But if you are looking for a TYPE COIN I would suggest you keep looking unless you LOVE this coin.
If you really LOVE this coin buy or bid. But if you are not feeling that strongly toward it, hold off and find one that you really do love.

Thanks for the responses. I feel that it is a xf45, but wanted some opinions. This coin is actually not as dark in hand because, as Chesterb indicated above, this particular dealer enhances his photos. In a case like this, the coin appears darker.
I do like this coin. I know many will find it dark, but coins are only original once.

Concur with XF grade range ... a bit too dark for me ... although the beginnings of a circulation cameo surface are appealing.

I'm at EF40. With a little remaining mint lustre I would have said EF45.
