Was wondering what caused this? I drew arrows in the first pictures only, but you can see what I am referring to. And no matter which way I do the lighting I get the same thing. Was just wondering since what I understand there can't be any double dies anymore.

Machine Doubling most likely I'd say.

could be, but it is not shelf like, and flat. it is almost as if there might have been a extremely small die chip, but can't tell for sure, oh well, just wondering.

Hi,

There can still be doubled dies. they are all over the place from 1997 on up, even though single squeeze technology has been used.

Your coin shows what is probably slight movement of the plating during the strike. Or it is slight, ordinary, Machine Doubling.

It's very common.

Thanks,
Bill

Thank you Bill, that could be, "slight movement" or MD, just thought I would post to get other ideas.
