Hello all, I'm a novice coin hunter and only go through coin if I can find the time. Well tonight I had time and I hope that I'm correct because I think I may have found a 1971 Lincoln double die obverse. Any help is greatly appreciated. Also I am working with a phone camera so please forgive image quality. Thanks

To CCF! I am sorry, but I can't tell with the picture you provided. It's way too blurry and out of focus. Try getting more clearer shots if you can. Not trying to sound like a jerk, just need better pictures to help you out.

Rest in Peace

Welcome to the forum!

Its difficult to distinguish what is and isn't a DDO. MD ( Machine Doubling) comes in many forms and is usually what is seen by the untrained eye. Stick with us and learn the tricks of the trade. We'll need clear and close pix, both sides too because that can help ID an error coin. Download my books in the box below, will help ya get yer feet wet!

Thanks alot for the quick response guys. I hope these images are a little better but to let you know what I'm seeing is that line on the right obverse edge. I'm not able to really study the coin properly right now so I cant look at the lettering or date real close but what ive read says that is where the doubling is at on the 71 cent so I just dont know. Thanks again for all the help

Sorry, looks normal to me. Also, please try to show both sides of a coin when you post, as large and sharp as you can!

the CCF!
