This Jefferson nickel I found is in very good condition and has a mark that maybe someone can help me with. On the reverse between States and of there is a mark that I'd like to identify. Is this an error?

to CCF. Odd location for a die chip,a die gouge maybe. Is it raised or a divot?

if it goes into the coin surface it is nothing but a mark.

If it is raised above the surface, like a bump, it's a minor error.

Even if this is a raised bump, either a die chip or gouge it would give it a very small increase in value. Maybe 25-50¢.

It's raised off of the coin. Thank you all for your comments.

and nice find. Looks like a small die chip to me. Not worth a whole lot but very cool if you're a collector.

Or a gouge on the field of the coin. A depression on the field will leave a raised area on coins struck with it.
