That's actually a really helpful video. I'm not sure if admins will allow self promotion for a new member but I enjoyed it. Also we prefer embedded videos.

Looks like a fun time. You may want to check out your 2004 P nickels for DDO. Also, finding the LWCs is exciting (especially a 70 cent CRH event), but there are tons of Variety cents/nickels that you're passing over.

Good luck on the hunt and
Rest in Peace

A waste of CRH time for what OP is seeking. Many, many varieties worth tons more than nasty Westward journey nickels and common date nicks. LWC's are the same, I can go through a box in four hours and check for numerous errors and varieties.

Understood but why don't you or another CCF member create a tutorial on what to look for when searching pocket change?

For a dummy like me I really enjoyed it. He separated the coins he thought were valuable and revealed his method to do so. Better than going through them one at a time like my nephews do with my accumulated change.
He made an effort and created an enjoyable video. Very helpful for those of us who aren't familiar with roll searching. Two thumbs up... WAY up for his effort.

Jeez. Tough room.

Perhaps the move to the CRH forum will be appreciated then.

Considering that back in the day, my brother and I would flip a $50 bag of cents and glean out the LWCs in the time it took my folks to order and eat their breakfast, we did the same as the OP. It isn't until later, maybe through our offers of unsolicited advice, do new CRH enthusiasts broaden the search. And as others have said here numerous times, you collect what you like even if it doesn't make much sense to anyone else. The OP, and others like him, will come to realize that there is more hidden treasure in the coins they search. How much they want to keep for themselves is a personal decision. I like the idea of a video tutorial on search methods and a list of the 'usual suspect' variety/error coins to look for. The numerous sites and books expand the hunt to a level that few of us, if any, truly exploit to the fullest.
