I have not seen a Jefferson nickel with this "pink-ish" color toning and wondering if it could be a natural tone or if it's a deliberate Job? The coin itself has above average clarity in relation to the letters/numbers on both sides... If nothing else it's a cool conversation piece as far as I'm concerned!! It Also has a curious rim defect on the reverse side and looking for clarity on that as well... thanks!
Does not look natural to me. The rim ding looks like a rim ding to me . If you have a really accurate scale,weight it. There is a one in a million chance it could be struck on a cent planchet maybe . It just doesn't look right to me for that though. John1
I unfortunately don't have a digital scale but it is the size of a Standard nickel so I don't think so either#128530;... but your comments have intrigued me enough that obtaining a simple accurate digital scale will be my next tool to purchase#127996;
