Found this coin at one of our vacation rental properties contacted all recent
Renter and posted to our website after about 3 months have taken down and
Assumed it was form before we purchased property.
On another note have done some research but unable to tell exactly what coin this
Is and if it's a replica or authentic 🤷 #127996;#8205;#9794;#65039;
Would appreciate any info the community can provide

Sorry but it is a replica of an eight escudos. It has a 1736 date and also a 1750 date, being a complete fantasy. These sell in beach shops for about $1.99 each as supposed pirate money.

When I did get the coin it was covered in tarnish
After some tlc it shined up but prior was a very dark almost black color 🤷 #127996;#8205;#9794;#65039;
Used a similar tech used to clean silver jewelry
As far as the cast goes thanks for the help guys appreciate it

This coin looks like the common fake listed as #FC53679 on the Daniel Sedwick coin site under his "Modern Pirates" library of fake cobs to look out for. This fake has been around for a long time, used to be quite common on ebay.
Not sure if I am allowed to post a link to a dealers site but would be happy to share in a private message. All cob collectors should be aware of this great database.
