Recently I acquired 28 Buffalo nickels that I will be posting for grading. Hopefully we can learn together about grading these. Picked this up for $81. Thoughts about grade and problems? Thanks! My thoughts on this coin after examining in hand is that it grades about xf45. Full horn, beautiful strike and beautiful orange toning throughout.

To me, the head lacks almost any hair detail and the tail is long gone, which leaves it in the VF range.

I just received a batch of nickel snaplocks so I will remove the coin from the 2x2 and retake the pictures without the plastic barrier. Detail, luster and toning difficult to see with these pics. Thanks for your comments.

This is the coin out of the holder. I still think I haven't captured the bright orange toning and device detail properly but getting better. took the pictures at an angle to capture the toning. toning still appears dull instead of the bright orange that can be seen in hand. EF-40 but I'm on the fenceh with "details" as it looks like it was once cleaned and has retoned.
